November 10, 20169 yr Hello, I am new back at Harpoon with Ultimate Edition v.2009.0.5.0 Previously I had enjoyed the sim from DOS all the way up through Harpoon 97. I have enjoyed replaying many of the scenarios. I am looking for some help using the scenario editor. I tried to edit one of the battleset scenarios to add more time to the scenario. But when I try to launch the saved scenario, either I can't locate it, or I get a message that some component is missing. It looks like there are multiple directories for the different build versions of the sim, but it looks like there is only one scenario editor launched from the initial Matrix HUCE menu. I need some help figuring out what files are necessary for a scenario and can they all be copied into a single directory or not? Thanks, Andy
November 10, 20169 yr Andy, Welcome back! When saving a scenario create a directory on your computer for "Edited Scenario's".Save your edited scenario there. This way you will know exactly where to look when loading a scenario. If you are using 2009.050 this is the last version of the original HC version. The Harpoon Ultimate version you referenced is 2009.097.You may have mixed up your Harpoon editions.Below is a link to the latest updates to Harpoon Ultimate Edition:http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/topic/17623-hc-versionsupdates/ I hope this helps. Please let us know if have any additional questions. Happy Harpooning! Eric
November 10, 20169 yr When saving a scenario create a directory on your computer for "Edited Scenario's". Save your edited scenario there. This way you will know exactly where to look when loading a scenario. A better practice would be to call the directory 'User Scenarios', as that is the nomenclature used by the sim. Andy, it may be worthwhile to check the FAQ at the top of the forums to refresh your memory on how the battleset and scenario filenames are structured.
November 13, 20169 yr Author OK, I opened the Scenario editor from the Matrix splash menu. Selected EC2003 Battle for the IOPG. Selected the first scenario, "Wrath". Changed the game limit from 1 day to 2 days. (Game time to go in the editor shows 2:00:00:00). File > save scenario as > created a new folder within Matrix>HUCE and saved edited scenario as Wrath_edit.scp Open HUCE from the Matrix splash menu, load user scenario, navigate to new folder - nothing shows up. Use Windows to navigate to the correct folder, there are two files present: Wrath_edit.txt and Wrath_edit.scp. It looks like the sim is looking for a *.hp? file... Completely unrelated, how do I get HUCE to stop launching a random scenario each time I open it?

User scenarios in EC2003 IOPG will have the filename suffix *.scp, while saved games will be *.hpp Completely unrelated, how do I get HUCE to stop launching a random scenario each time I open it? From the start screen, uncheck the box (below the map) entitled "Enable Instant Action".
November 14, 20169 yr Author My start screen does not have a map. My user scenario is present, but not visible to the sim when I try to open it. It is visible to the scenario editor. This forum does not allow images shared from Imgur?
