donaldseadog Posted June 1, 2024 Author Report Posted June 1, 2024 Another update (I should have done them both at once ) In the air formation page a new patrol type being EW which is similar to AEW but the radar and thus EW emission is on for 2 1/2 mins every 3. A new patrol type: by giving the group a multi leg course with no orders other than in the last leg (such as Land), then setting the patrol size to zero when the patrol type button (ASW, CAP etc) is pressed the radar and speed/alt setting get populated into each leg of the course. This is most useful in setting up an ASW barrier. Quote

Handy for unit fuel topup before deploying separate from the group on patrol or strike missions. An occasional infinite loop issue in the Air Refuel page is fixed A popup menu introduced in the Group window of the AirGroupFormation page for setting Grp1 and Grp2 readying for group rendezvous and join. donaldseadog Posted July 23, 2024 Author Report Posted July 23, 2024 I've upload a toolbox revision that includes new function by which toolbox monitors the currently selected group and unit in the GE and applies the selection to some of the toolbox windows. By this you can now make selection of player groups and enemy units in toolbox by selecting them in the game, thus making it easier and quicker to perform many of the toolbox tasks. This has required in some places significant changes to how procedures run so please let me know if you come across any misbehavior. Don Quote
donaldseadog Posted August 5, 2024 Author Report Posted August 5, 2024 Uploaded a new version, 2.10.4 Removed a debug notice that would sometime popup and make no sense to player. Groups Page, added information regards NOE, IFR, and MAD capability for AC units in the unit details window. Attack Page, fixed a code error that left the toolbox enemy unit selection only working for enemy units selected in the game unit window, not for manual selection in toolbox window. The Group page (surface/sub group in older toolbox version) now with the selection of the toolbox entry by selection of the player group in GE group window gives a very quick reference to aircraft and ship/sub capability, some of which such as AC's MAD, IFR and NOE capability isn't available in the game. 1 Quote

Changed AirGrpFrm page unit list to show aircraft range in nm (at current speed) instead of endurance in mins. reset Attack page Egroup (and EUnit) when time compression is altered, signifying that player is manually 'doing stuff' Updated help text. IN group page added information for missile units: alt band, numbers, target and guidance phase. Generally smoothed out the auto selection of player groups and non-player units from current selections in the game window. In the scenario section added a three scenario pack of walk through simple play scenarios illustrating some of the features. Quote

New to this version is interaction with add-on AARData.DLL (which accumulates information regarding the progress of a scenario played over multiple sessions) so as to provide a tally of your used munitions. Two tallies are provided, over all by weapon class and a tally of aircraft fired munitions tallied by each aircraft home unit and weapon class. Also note changes to exportDLL interface mean you should have a subfolder of the standard folder ExportDLL named 'GE' and load the two add-ons in there. Quote

OOps, a clerical oversight and an error in calculating the name of the aardata file so was linking to the wrong one, new version 2.11.03 should fix it and as a bonus 'sorry' i've included the double click ac group in the aerial refuel page to make it the active group in the game. It's in the toolboxV.zip download. It removes the annoying iterative save messages from the toolbox message log and includes the handy auto select in toolbox of the in game active group for the player (in most toolbox windows) and active unit for the enemy (in toolbox attack window). donaldseadog Posted July 29, 2025 Author Report Posted July 29, 2025 PS, the 'Capture' feature has a better algorithm for calculating success, and I'm now looking at a repair system so once you've punished a base and captured it you can get it back to operating 100%. The long term goal is to be able to run a long term strategic scenario including expansion of territory and ammunition logistics. 2 Quote
donaldseadog Posted September 16, 2025 Author Report Posted September 16, 2025 I've uploaded a new version for running in the last few betas (2025.015+) and the release 2025.025. This fixes a (rare) crash when playing legacy scenario and fighter type aircraft engage aircraft with their in built A2A cannon. I took the opportunity to tidy up some code relating to saving console position between sessions and increased the max number of lines in the message window to 999. Also added if you don't want the game message window but want to see messages regarding iterative game saves then there is a check box too get this. I am also wondering if it is time to do a run down of what toolbox does, my actual assumption is that mostly I'm the only person that uses it so maybe that's not needed, let me know if I'm wrong. There is a fair rundown in the settings window of operations... Quote
