A new version of the HCDB database, the official database for Harpoon Commander's Edition (HCE), is now available. HCDB-071223 is the first "post HCE release" version of the HCDB. The HCE Battleset scenarios will function with this database installed.

 

It is available in the Downloads section here.

 

Please note that this version incorporates certain major changes to the Game Engine (GE) code which will eventually be released by way of a patch, including:

(1) Major improvements to the gunnery model

(2) The expansion of electronic warfare to surface ships and mobile land units (i.e. chaff, flares, point defense jammers).

 

Until the patch becomes available, these new features will not be fully functional.

 

In the meantime, Magazines are now fully implemented in the HCDB for surface ships, SAM/AAA batteries, etc. As well, numerous new platforms have been added, including new aircraft, surface ships, SAM systems, submarines and installations.
