February 10, 201115 yr Hello, I have created a scenario that I was hoping to test. Unfortunately the game stopped working. I have noticed that if the scenario is >= 700kb the game doesn't work. Is there a memory limit on created scenarios? Regards, Dave
February 10, 201115 yr There is a size limit to the scenario file, not a memory limit (well, in the recent versions of the game anyway, 2008.044 and newer). My vague recollection is that it is not a hard limit but hovered close to the same size in each case. I'd be happy to take a quick look if you want to zip and upload the scenario file here or zip and e-mail to hc3@harpgamer.com.

I'm not sure if my case is the same, and I think it's not the first time I've the same experience. After a lot of hours working in a big scenario (the file size is 93.2 Kb), now the Scenario Editor can't open the yesterday half-worked file neither the copies (the copies not were as developed or big as the master working file, are smaller, but they don't open neither), reporting message error type "Memory Allocation Failure" or similar. I will restart it almost from scratch I will send you the files on a while, thanks.
April 17, 201115 yr The file size limit is most likely right around 64kB so you are probably well over the limit! Bret helped surpass some lower limits but neither of us was able to crack the current limit. Sorry
April 17, 201115 yr Ok, don't worry. I will keep the aproximate limit in mind on each new scenario. I can write a very long scenario if I write it in only one attempt (and the scenario after is playable in the game engine), but it's after unopenable/unmodificable with the Scenario Editor. A pity
