sqrmax Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Has anyone ever seen the Red side AI use the Oscars against the airfields? Just a few shipwrecks sent the right way and you get all those Orions and Nimrods out of the way. Quote
TonyE Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 The AI will not initiate attacks against fixed installations on its own. Those must be entered by the scenario author and there are no such orders in Gatekeeper. But it may have happened about 5 years back when we flirted with the idea of letting the AI do such things, we learned that it was overall ill-advised . Quote
JSF Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Is that Shipwreck missile land attack capable? Discuseed that with Darren reagrding his HUD 3 database for Harpoon 3 / ANW. There it is. Darren created two versions of the Shipwreck, one for killing ship, one land attack. How is that in HC? Quote

In the older battlesets using the stock database I believe Shipwreck is treated as land attack capable. In the newer battlesets using the HCDB, iirc, I only gave land attack capability to the nuclear warhead version. Quote
mavfin Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 My comment on this: I play Red, and don't fire missiles on Keflavik. I think that I'm keeping those missiles for merchie and carrier-killing once I break out. If I get a hard fix on a CVH, though, all bets are off! Quote
