  1. I have had this happen sometimes. Is it happening from a saved game? That's when I have this problem. My solution has been...alternate between TWO save files (so if one gets corrupted I don't lose the whole scenario that I'm playing) and, when that fails, give up and start from the beginning of the scenario. Usually, it's the saved file that is corrupted, although occasionally the base scenario gets messed up and I have to start writing it from scratch. That's annoying! I suppose one solution might be to erase your copy of the scenario and then download it again if the base scenario has somehow gotten corrupted. I hope this helps. Mark

  7. I would like to start a thread dedicated to questions about and/or suggestions for OOBs for small task forces. All periods. All nations. To get the ball rolling, I will start with two questions... 1) Presently, or in the near future, what is a likely OOB for a task force involving a Littoral Combat Ship? I had assumed it would be one LCS and one DDG, the latter providing AA protection, etc. while the LCS served as the platform for SEAL teams and Firescout recon missions. Or is the LCS supposed to operate entirely on its own? 2) In or around 1985, if the United Kingdom had to respond to a minor crisis (i.e., something that did not require a carrier but could be handled with a couple of warships, and maybe one submarine, and perhaps a couple of helicopters and/or squads of Royal Marines to land somewhere and blow things up), what kind of OOB are we talking about? Which ships are "the usual suspects" for this kind of mission?
  8. Viana do Castelo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viana_do_Cast...s_patrol_vessel Brand new Portuguese platform...looks nice... ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  9. Another Turkish platform... Rüzgar class fast attack craft http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%BCzgar_class ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  10. Another one I spotted that might be interesting to include in Southeast Asian conflicts... HTMS Pattani http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTMS_Pattani ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  11. I'm playing around with some ideas for scenarios with Turkey as a major combatant, so I'm trying to fill in any gaps we have in their navy... AKAR CLASS FLEET SUPPORT SHIP http://www.dzkk.tsk.tr/english/platformlar/SinifAkar.php I could not find any other sources, unfortunately, but this looks like it would give the Turks the ability to resupply far from home ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  12. Point class cutter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_class_cutter 79 built and transferred eventually to about a dozen different countries, including Georgia. Definitely worth including. ANW HUD 4 v1.1 b8
  13. File Name: Coconut Crisis 1980 File Submitter: Mgellis File Submitted: 17 Feb 2012 File Updated: 27 Jul 2012 File Category: Scenarios DB Used: HUD 4 v 1.1 b8 Authors: Mark Gellis Battleset: No Information In 1980, there was a quasi-rebellion in the New Hebrides. Historically, there was little loss of life. But what if the organization behind the rebellion was more violent, and Great Britain decided to eliminate the threat, but France refused to allow Great Britain to use force in an area where they were co-administrators? So, the British task force must conduct the raid but it is possible that France will attack them before they even reach the New Hebrides... (As a side note...I've discovered that a great way to brainstorm new scenarios is to go to Wikipedia, scroll through their lists of "conflicts by decade" or "territorial disputes" and then modify history by assuming that someone with access to military equipment has decided that today is a good day to act like a homicidal maniac. Fortunately for the world, history usually does not work like this...fortunately for Harpoon, it's a game, so insanity is always an option!) Click here to download this file

  14. I stand corrected! I was just so used to weapons like that being listed separately (like the artillery on a ship) that I was confused when I did not see them listed for aircraft. In a test, the AC-130 flew to its target and blew it to pieces, even though it was on the Minimal loadout.
  15. Go Jun Bong class LST http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/g...bong-class-lst/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_Jun_Bong_class_LST ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8 Thanks to Gunny for considering all of these platforms I'm posting...I know they won't be added for a while (heck, if they get added sometime in the next year or so, I'll be happy), but I figured the best way to get the ball rolling on them is to just post them and then, if there is enough information and there is time to add them, they can be added.
  16. Frankenthal Class (Type 332) http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/frankenthal/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenthal_class_minehunter Should the Turkish variant, the A-class, be its own entry? ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  17. A319 Maritime Patrol Aircraft http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/a319mpa/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A319#A319 ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  18. I'm not sure if anyone reported this already, but the loadouts for the AC-130 seem to be wrong...it shows up in the database as being unarmed, and we know that's not right! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC-130
  19. Ambassador MK III Missile Boat Another one I thought someone had posted already, but when I searched I could not find it, so here it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambassador_MK_III_Missile_Boat http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/e...-missile-craft/ ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  20. Gowind class corvette Actually, a family of four different designs...unclear if anyone will buy them...perhaps they should be added as #/fictional platforms? (Might be interesting to set up a battle between combinations of different members of the same family of ships...) http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/gowind_corvettes/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gowind_class_corvette ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  21. Milgem class corvette http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/m..._class_corvett/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgem (I keep thinking I suggested this already, but I searched and I could not find it. Apologies if my search-fu is faulty today!) ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  22. Sentinel class cutter http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/sentinel-class/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentinel_class_cutter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USCGC_Bernard..._%28WPC_1101%29 Might be useful for scenarios involving piracy, drug smugglers, etc. ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
  23. (Once again, I know it may be a while before these can be included; I'm just posting things as they occur to me so I don't forget about them.) Future French aircraft carrier (aka Porte-Avions 2?) http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/porte-avoins2/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_French_aircraft_carrier Hmmm...interesting... I understand this will be a variant of the Queen Elizabeth class...does it need its own entry in the database? ANW HUD 4 v1.1 b8
  24. Sorry, Gunny. When I did a search, it did not show up. I hope there are no other duplicates; I apologize in advance if there are.
