As far as I can tell, the courses seem to be fixed, I did not have any ships run aground.

 

For victory conditions, RED side got theirs within about 10 minutes of me starting. After sinking some 25 or so red ships, I was still unable ot trigger a blue victory. will have to make another run to test that sometime this weekend.
