Some variants of the Mirage F1 are missing from the database. I am not sure if these are different enough from existing platforms that they need to be added... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassault_Mirage_F1 The only ones in the database are the F1-AZ (South Africa), the F1.A (JE...the version built for Ecuador?), and the F1.C200 (which appears to be the version used by France). But what about the versions built for Greece, Libya, Kuwait, and other nations? ANW HUD-4 v1.11

The database text for the Type 71 (Chinese amphibious ship) uses the text for the British LPH Ocean. Even if the two classes are very similar, this is a bit disconcerting. Recommended revised database text.... "Chinese amphibious warfare ship; normally carries one marine battalion, four landing craft, and four helicopters."

The COIL laser weapon only lists missiles as possible targets. I know that it was primarily designed to kill missiles in the boost phase, but should aircraft be added as possible targets, too?

Admirable Class Minesweeper https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Admirable-class_minesweeper The Admirable-class is already listed with the Philippine navy. Are the ships used by Mexico (quite a few got sold to Mexico, it appears) and other countries the same or do they need their own entries in the database? Admittedly, the Admirable is an old class of ship, and the range on its 76 mm gun is only 3 miles, but against smaller patrol vessels, unarmed merchants, drug runners who only have small arms, etc. it is probably enough to ruin your day. (Actually, I could see one falling into the hands of a cartel or being used as a pirate ship...)

A generic police boat could be added to the database adding a separate platform POL Generic Police Boat and using the information for the Boston Whaler, but adding a Small Arms mount to represent the armed law enforcement officers aboard. In fact, as I understand it, a number of police agencies around the world use various types of Boston Whaler for this exact purpose. Database text: A small, high-speed boat used by police forces around the world.

Hey Gunny, Keep up the great work on HUD 4 DB. I have made a scenerio where surface units must locate a lifeboat/liferaft as part of VC. I have been using the CIV Drifter [8m/12kts] entry it but may not be the most realistic representation. http://daesungeng.en.ec21.com/Totally_Enclosed_Lifeboat_Life_Boat--411866_411867.html This link has a list for enclosed lifeboats with various sizes. My concern is the speed and RCS. The drifter with a top speed of 12kts seems a bit fast for a larger enclosed lifeboat and I would think that a small, slowly drifting inflatable 6-man life raft, seemingly impossible to locate in the real world, would be even more difficult…

A slightly larger generic police/coast guard boat can be added by taking the database entry for the 42-foot motor cruiser and creating a new entry POL Generic Police Cruiser, with the main change being the addition of a Small Arms mount to represent the armed law enforcement officers aboard. The category POL (for "Police") is added to distinguish such boats from purely civilian vessels, even though they are often the same kind of vessel and the only difference is that they are being used for law enforcement. A couple of minor corrections are needed for the MCM Avenger. 1. Crew and displacement are listed as 0. This probably does not affect gameplay, as the ship's damage points are listed, but it looks odd. 2. The ship's sensors only include radar; it does seem to have some kind of sonar system (according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avenger_class_mine_countermeasures_ship), although I don't know whether that would be modeled or not in Harpoon. 3. The ship carries mine the AN/SLQ-48 remotely operated mine disposal system. I'm not sure how this should be modeled in Harpoon, or if it should simply be listed in the descriptive text, etc. ANW HUD 4 v1.11

I tried to place the SA 321G Super Frelon (and the variants, the SA 321 Ga and the Chinese Zhi-8) on carriers, but they are not listed as carrier-capable aircraft (i.e., they don't show up in the list of aircraft that can be added to a carrier). I suspect this is a database issue, so I figured I better report it. Thanks! ANW HUD 4 v1.11

Not sure if this is a game engine issue or a database issue or something I'm doing wrong, but I am still having trouble with Mavericks. I cannot get the AGM-65Ds or -65Gs to fire from the Block 52 F-16s. As I recall, there was a problem with some weapons that had IR sensors (I think some of the Hellfires had this issue as well) and these are Mavericks that use IR targeting, so it may be a similar problem.
