Meanwhile, air strikes from the Chinese mainland have been considerably reduced in volume and intensity. Intelligence and media reports indicate a great deal of confusion - some say chaos - in Beijing,…

File Name: Operation Island Wind v1.1 File Submitter: CV32 File Submitted: 7 Apr 2007 File Updated: 7 Apr 2007 File Category: WestPac Operation Island Wind. A hypothetical scenario that explores Japan making a surgical strike against North Korea's missile test center. This is not a leisurely task, as you have less than 24 game hours to complete the mission. The player should attempt to limit collateral damage, as the target is very specific. Designer Notes: I've tweaked it a bit, and probably given the red side a bit more capabilities than it really has (reference materials were conflicting). However, this was done in the interest of gameplay and to present th…

AAR: Nicobar Vengeance [spoiler Alert] By Mark Gellis How do you find a submarine that doesn't want to be found? Well, at least I had a surfeit of ASW assets. Wow, a full complement of helos on my 2 little ships; my Horn-of-Plenty was certainly overflowing. Since a Bear can stay up all week, I launched it right away. I intended to ferry my fighters over to Port Blair and refuel them before going out on patrol. However, a pair F-16 lurkers were spotted approaching my ships and the Bear. As my Rules of Engagement [ROE] forbade me from initiating hostile action, my beautiful long-ranged Air-to-Air missiles were simply going to be dead weight. I moved my e…
