I posted a video of a SimPlot screenshot showing the new turn replay feature. The game running in it is a re-creation of the Origins 2019 Dance of the Vampires scenario that was run by me and Larry Bond. The original turn files are not compatible with the SP2 update, so I had to run the game all over again using the original turn files as guides. The end result looks just like it happened at the convention. The Undo Turn and Undo Move buttons at the bottom right looked fine in the Win version, but as you can see they aren't right in the Mac version. I will have to fix that. They do, however, work very good. The update is nearing completion. I want to spend…

Read the rulebook and was trying to work through the Jumpstart: Guardian scenario as an attempt to learn with some guidance, when I realized that a lot of the examples in the scenario are out of date of the current errata, so I have some questions. The rulebook only mentioned the evaporative duct as being usable by ships, and yet the scenario has a helicopter using the duct to extend its radar horizon. Can aircraft use the duct? If so, where is that rule located? I think I figured this out by going through errata documents, but can someone confirm that the sensor type modifier for RF FC solutions no longer exists? As I understand it, instead of a modifier, n…

View File Iron Bottom Sound Map This is a map for playing Battle of Savo Island or Iron Bottom Sound scenarios. I have not yet added depth zones, since I only intend to use it for surface scenarios, but I may do that in the future. I would appreciate any feedback, since it is my first stab at using SimPlot. View File 2019 Origins System Test These files are recreations of the System Test played at Origins 2019. The game was refereed by Larry Bond and the game turns were run by Kevin Martell (kmart494) on a MacBook using an earlier version of SimPlot2. The old files are not compatible with the current version of SP2, so I recreated them using the latest version. Download and extract the Origins System Test folder to SimPlot's Scenarios folder. You will also need to download the GIUK1 map files from the Maps download section if you do not already have it. The map files can go in the Maps folder or directly into the Origi…

In Harpoon scenarios that may span a few days or longer are there any tables or rules for aircraft readiness? For example - An A-6E flies off the carrier and returns in 4 hours, is readied in an hour, and flies off for another 4 hour patrol. How many times in a row can it do that before it needs a longer down time for maintenance, etc.? Another example - There is a squadron of 24 P-3Cs based in Iceland. How many of them would reasonably be expected to be mission ready (i.e. not down for maintenance, etc.)? Could all 24 get launched at once consistently or should xx% be expected to not be available at a given time? Perhaps this is too far into the …

Kevin, this is a request, Can be added a 1 sec time advance, I know it is not necessary but I've been thinking about it, and the accuracy and possibilities it brings to the program. Thank You. Will we see an updated Simplot when H5 is released?

Kevin - It is mentioned in SITREP60 that there may be a simplot2 file eventually for the Bugout scenario in the magazine. Does one already exist? I'm going to run this scenario soon and I can make my own easy enough but if the map image and txt file exist already for it (or for that matter, a full scenario file as well as the map files) Regards, Peter Robbins
