  1. File Name: Indian Ocean Escort Scenario File Submitter: kmart494 File Submitted: 13 Nov 2015 File Category: Scenarios This is a blank scenario file for the Indian Ocean Escort scenario from Harpoon Naval Review 2003. The map and scenario file must be in the same SimPlot scenario folder (or sub folder). There are no starting units since their locations are determined by the referee or player. I posted a video of a SimPlot screenshot showing the new turn replay feature. The game running in it is a re-creation of the Origins 2019 Dance of the Vampires scenario that was run by me and Larry Bond. The original turn files are not compatible with the SP2 update, so I had to run the game all over again using the original turn files as guides. The end result looks just like it happened at the convention. The Undo Turn and Undo Move buttons at the bottom right looked fine in the Win version, but as you can see they aren't right in the Mac version. I will have to fix that. They do, however, work very good. The update is nearing completion. I want to spend…

With the news that India finally has firm (well, maybe) plans to induct the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) into service, I'm wondering if anyone has worked up some H4 specs. Peter? Craig?

The set is similar to that of the GCS Test Scenario from back in September. For those interested, load mapquest and search for New Bern, NC. This action begins southwest of New Bern, between Maysville and Pollocksville, all along Highway 58. A "veteran" USMC LAR Company reinforced with 2x LAV-AT (total GCS rating of 8.28), and with 1x M-198 artillery battery in D/S (6.48) moves, from around Maysville, into a combat box centered around Pollocksville, NC, which is currently occupied by an "competent" OPFOR Recce Company (1.2324 per HNR2003 P.37) with a 122mm artillery battalion (2.16) in direct support. While the OPFOR is in "Prepared Defenses Level1", the US play…

  15. Can anyone out there explain the discrepancies between the arcs for the Mk92 CAS and Mk92 STIR on a 1989 O.H. Perry between the "America's Navy" book and the "Tattletail" scenario? The fleet book has no specified arcs for the directors, which means they should use the ones from the mounts they're associated with, in this case P&S for the CAS and F for the STIR (though since the CAS is also listed as a radar in general with 360 degree view, I assume it can also direct in 360 degrees). However, the "Tattletail" scenario has an O.H. Perry with an F arc for the CAS and a P&S arc for the STIR, the complete opposite of the fleet book, not to mention a PW/SW arc for…

I need to test my file routine that (I hope) allows players to exchange files regardless of regional settings (especially for decimal separator). Below are three files: a US file with period separators, an international file with comma separators, and a mixed file with both. Tests on my US computer worked well, but I need someone from outside the US/Canada to load these files as a test. The files have three units (Red, Blue, Neutral). If you can see them plus the movement tracks, then the test is a success. Kevin EDIT: The files should be loaded as a Single Player/Referee scenario. US_turn.txt Intl_turn.txt Mixed_turn.txt

  18. View File 2019 Origins System Test These files are recreations of the System Test played at Origins 2019. The game was refereed by Larry Bond and the game turns were run by Kevin Martell (kmart494) on a MacBook using an earlier version of SimPlot2. The old files are not compatible with the current version of SP2, so I recreated them using the latest version. Download and extract the Origins System Test folder to SimPlot's Scenarios folder. You will also need to download the GIUK1 map files from the Maps download section if you do not already have it. The map files can go in the Maps folder or directly into the Origi…

Courtesy of PeterG on the A_Willing_Foe group. "First 3 batteries in line 5 km FEBA, last 2 batteries 10 km FEBA, each battery is 15 km apart. Batteries are organized in line, shallow V, diamond or box with launchers 100-750 m apart depending on terrain. Diamond seems more common with 4 launchers and Straight Flush is in the middle of the launchers." Thanks Peter.
