December 5, 200916 yr It's a nice article but I wonder why the Air Force Association didn't mention the navy's lead in BMD and the own dire straits of the USAF when it comes to procurement? The UCAV angle they took was beautiful. The recent cut off of F-22 airframes only highlights this problem and the lack of forward bases, especially in SE Asia tells the tale there. The one thing I do agree with is the lack of aircraft in the current CVWs. If anything the lack of Air Force support would along justify the increase in the number of aircraft for the wings. Later D
