February 25, 200521 yr Hello all, I am trying to have several strikes arrive at the same TOT. I have the different speed and distances (multiaxis attack, you know) but I can't get my pilots to pull it out. Is there anyway to achieve this, or the evasion codes will forever impede it?
February 25, 200521 yr I am pretty certain that the Aircraft Evasion behaviour has been changed for the HC2005 version. This is the latest beta release from AGSI 16b8+. If you are still using the 16b3 version, then the AI has problems with penetrating SAM/AAM 'bubbles'. Assuming that you have no problems with the Evasion behaviour, try launching groups of the same size. This might help the co-ordination. The calculation of distance is pretty easily done so you should be able to delay the closer aircraft so that all aircraft arrive TOT. Don't forget to allow for weapons ranges. i.e. Do you want the ARMs to fire at the same time the bombers arrive on the target or a few minutes prior to their arrival? Sounds like you have an interesting situation brewing. Let me know if this stuff helps. If you need more help, feel free to post the file so that others can try to help. Cheers.
February 27, 200521 yr Author Hi Herman, I am using 16b8, but doesn't help. The most frustrating part is that the SEAD strikes just fly in circles at the edge of the SAM bubble, doing nothing useful, until they run out of fuel. When the main strikes arrives, they have to face the SAMs without any help, and then, when a radar is turned on (doesn't matter is it's a fighter or any land based radar) they turn back without attacking anything.
February 27, 200521 yr Yes, IIRC, the aircraft evasion behaviour was not de-activated until after the 16b8 version. I'm certain that someone will correct me if I am wrong here. When HC2005 is released, I don't think that you will see this avoidance problem any longer.
February 27, 200521 yr About SEAD mission, what i recommend is to micro-manage ur units. It can be very hard when u have plenty units but it's far more effctive than what AI can do. SEAD raid is the first step and if it fail, the whole raid should be cancelled if u won't scarify ur units.

If the ARMs outrange the SAM coverage, the attack goes well, but when the bomb trucks arrive, they will refuse to enter SAM cover, even if the SAM radars are down and the SAMs are defenceless.

The 'no evasion' version is not yet available outside of the beta testing group at AGSI. Maybe possibly this weekend but I've said that many times before
