December 22, 20169 yr Author I received a clarification about the FRAM II from Larry Bond. It was listed as 4 box launchers for the SM1MR, but had 2 missiles each. Larry says that is a typo, so there is only 1 missile for each box with no at-sea reloads.
December 22, 20169 yr So 4 missiles total? Does the same apply to the Battle? We have three options then; none of them great. Our best option is probably the FRAM as it has the chopper and the best guns; but there are arguments for all the bigger ships. I wish to take the Combattantes BTW. December 23, 20169 yr Author I sent another email to Larry, but I suspect the same holds true for the Ex-UK Battle class.
December 23, 20169 yr Huh I wonder where Larry gets his info from because that link I posted earlier in this thread quite clearly explains that the Iranian Sumners had reloads for their four Standard launchers. Once the single reload was gone though it was back to port for any more. It even has photos showing them.
December 23, 20169 yr Author I didn't see your link about the Sumners earlier. I just sent it to Larry to see what he thinks. I think we should consider the Sumner and Battle classes to have one manual reload for each box launcher.
December 24, 20169 yr Gentlemen , I am no longer interested in joining your game or any future games of Harpoon 4. Thanks for the opportunity for to play a new version of Harpoon 4. Respectfully, Eric
December 24, 20169 yr Author SHUK, do you know anyone that would be interested in playing Red side? Or, will you be able to handle all three ships?
December 24, 20169 yr Not off the top of my head. I can handle all three ships if need be and I think those choices (Sumner and two Combattantes) will the ones we go for.
December 26, 20169 yr Author Ok. What formation would you like for the ships? They will start just south of Bandar Bushehr. All aircraft will start at Shiraz Airbase on Alert+15. turn_1030_red.txt turn_1030_red_intl.txt
December 26, 20169 yr Launch P3. Climb to High altitude while proceeding on course 247 degrees to the coast. Keep radars off until feet wet. Listening on ESM. Ready Phantoms so they are at +5 armed as discussed earlier with 6 Mk83 thousand pound bombs, 2 AIM7F, and a 1st Gen jammer pod.
