In Turn 1852.0 Fire Phase you fire the forward Mk8 gun.

 

In Turn 1852.0 Detection Phase you lose sight of the enemy warship. (I forgot to tell you earlier that you lost visual sight of the merchant a few turns ago.) Anyway, you still have both ships on radar, but you wont know if your guns hit or not.

 

Also, you are very close to your gun's max range, and the enemy ships have changed course.

Plan to turn to 330T, plan to make speed 26 kts, and continue to fire the Mk 8 when it is in range (as long as it remains, and if it drifts out of range during the maneuver, when it comes back in range) barring further need for modification based on target responses.
