CV32 Posted September 23, 2014 Author Report Posted September 23, 2014 Looks like the F-22 was used in the strike role. US DOD Twitter Quote
broncepulido Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 That is my idea of long time ago, from the start some F-22A were earmarked for silver bullet stealth strike the first hours of an all-out open war, as the F-22A was IOC in 2006 and the F-117A retired in 2008, very probably just when those F-22A strike capabilities were developed. CV32 Posted September 24, 2014 Author Report Posted September 24, 2014 Looks like a pair of F-22s working this particular target. I am counting at least four bomb hits. Presumably 1,000 lb GBU-32(V)1/B JDAM. And those were some looooong TLAM shots from the USS Philippine Sea in the Arabian Gulf and the USS Arleigh Burke in the Red Sea. Quote
CV32 Posted September 24, 2014 Author Report Posted September 24, 2014 GBU-53 SDB II? (Wild guess, but the spacing and TOT is impressive). Quote
