October 27, 201213 yr Set up Keflavik as a Red Base and added a battery of SA-6s and then ran an attack mission on it. My but I was surprised to lose 30 incoming JASSMs to I-HAWK missiles coming from a Soviet occupied base. I'm guessing I would have to go into the Platform Editor to strip them out, but it does seem odd that a RED base gets to keep and use NATO SAMs.
October 30, 201213 yr The Russians could have always imported some Iranian air defenders to man the captured missile sites. The post-revolution armed forces assumed control of western I-Hawk and Stinger along with the F-14A's, F-4s and F-5s.
October 30, 201213 yr This is the way it was set up for the boxed EC2003 scenarios and really hasn't been adjusted much since. The problem arises when you use the same installations for custom built scenarios. A while back I began to strip out these NATO type air defenses for RED controlled NATO bases and leave in just MANPADS and/or AAA.
November 1, 201213 yr Author So CV32, it would make sense and not harm anything if I were to tweak HCDB by removing the NATO gear from a Red controlled NATO base? Wow, just checked Keflavik RED has 36 x I-HAWK! No wonder it was 'exciting' to raid the place.
