Any old timers here who recall the number and types of AC carried aboard the Oriskany in the late '60s/early '70s?

I found this :http://www.history.navy.mil/branches/ordbat.htm, which gives the squadrons, dets, and AC types, but I'm stuck for numbers of each type carried aboard.

I spent time alongside Oriskany numerous times in those days, but never actually served aboard her.

Thanx,

I regret I've not an ultimate answer, but it's probably here, sometimes with detailes bureau of aeronautics numbers:

Some other hints here and there for other time periods:

( Cited previously by Akmatov here http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?s...amp;#entry12069 )

Some data from U.S. Aircraft Carriers - An Illustrated Design History, by Norman Friedman, Naval Institute Press 1983, page 292:

CVA Essex (SBC-27A), CVA-9, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 33, 34, 39:

23xAD Skyraider

13xF2H Banshee

16xF9F-5 Panther

22xF9F-6 Cougar

1xHUP Retriever

CVA Essex (SBC-27C), CVA-11, 14, 16, 19, 31, 38:

16xAD-6 Skyraider

6xAD-4B Skyraider

10xAD-4NA Skyraider

12xF2H-3 Banshee

44xF9F-6 Cougar

1xHUP Retriever

And I remember at the start of the Reagan Administration the idea of reactivate Oriskany with 40xAV-8, A-4 or A-7 (It was decided the carriage of only a plane type to simplify maintenance and logistics).

Thanx for the links. The one thing I can't seem to find anywhere is the actual number of each AC type in each of the squadrons. It's got to be out there somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can find it.
