Carrier re-deploys One of the comments about the use of a catapult to launch a car reminds me of the "death" of Top Gear's first Stig - going off the ski-jump of Ark Royal. If Top Gear is still going when the QEs arrive, you can bet that Clarkson, Hammond and May will want to use the EMALS for something like that.
January 14, 201214 yr I saw the Regan pull into Bremerton on Monday. It was just like that. Seeing it reminded me of my last ship (USS Carl Vinson) shifting homeports from Alameda, when it closed down to Bremerton in 1997. The Ronnie is up her for a yard period at PSNS.
