Very fascinating and heroic issue, more in a submarine without a mechanical engina!!!

I remember watching an old TV show when I was a kid about the Hunley, and seeing the guys in that little tube turning a crank shaft to propel the sub. I think it was an episode of some regular show, but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was. It definitely made you feel for the crew.
