Thunder Dragon meets the Gold Eagle

One of the most significant obstacles to a forced reunification between the PRC and the Republic of China (ROC, commonly referred to as Taiwan) is the US Navy. The presence of a US Navy carrier strike group in the vicinity would pose a very serious danger to PRC military action. Does the PRC possess the capability to neutralize the threat ? Try it and see for yourself. Released September 2005.

...SPOILER ALERT...

I took this scenario for a spin tonight to test build 2010.013 using HCDB-101022 and had a great time. The US forces came out punching and sank a number of my ships. I didn't even know where the missiles were coming from as I hadn't had time to set up my few AEW resources and my surface ships didn't have much chance of detecting the Harpoons early.

My numbers wore down the US CVBG and with the assistance of the Harpy launchers I managed to sink the entire carrier group (I suppose they are CSGs these days). It came with a high loss of life as 21 of my ships went down, one submarine, and 12 aircraft. The US could have done more damage but this time they took a measured response and I used my numbers to overwhelm them.

Thanks Brad!
