The Indian Navy task force consisting of three destroyers - INS Delhi, INS Ranvir, and INS Ranvijay, corvette INS Kirch, and tanker INS Jyoti called at Pacific Fleet's main base in Vladivostok on April 18-23. Russia reported the arrival of Indian warships as a friendly visit, but the Indian side claims the program of the visit originally included joint drills, which were cancelled by the Russians at the last moment. Haven't we been told over the past few years of a resurgent russian military due in part to energy sales? I'd say something deeper, the question though is what. My head is currently buried in the 1967 Mid East.

I'd say something deeper, the question though is what. Oh, I was just pulling potential excuses out of the air, as there could be any number of possibilities. (As an aside, we sell plenty of energy here in Canuckistan - you buy most of it - but that hasn't helped reduce the price at the pumps. I still feel like I have been violated when I fill up the tank).
June 6, 201115 yr Author The rumor mill seems to think this was about the MiG-35 being dropped from MMRCA contention, as well as an apparent Indian Navy complaint about maintenance issues with Russian systems.
