June 29, 201114 yr Hi I have been away for a year or so but now back. I've downloaded the latest version. Previously there was a Complete library file so I'm not sure how to rebuild scenarios. Any help would be good. Thanks

August 24, 201114 yr Hi, Hi I have been away for a year or so but now back. I've downloaded the latest version. Previously there was a Complete library file so I'm not sure how to rebuild scenarios. Any help would be good. Thanks You already got help? Or need an explanation? OK I will take the plunge and ask for help with this one. I am running Harpoon Ultimate Edition version 3.10.1, I downloaded the 1.6.1 database and unzipped it into the HUD3 database folder (overwriting the existing HUD3 database files...mistake I know!) Now I can't get the scenarios to run as it says there is a database error. How do I go about rebuilding the scenarios?

OK ignore the above post, think I have got the Scenario editor sorted and working now and was able to use the 'batch rebuild' option in it to update the scenario and get it loaded without the database signiture error occuring. Is there something else I should have done or is that the only step needed?
September 4, 201114 yr Author Hi Gunny, what´s the status of your work regarding a release date for the next version? Can´t wait for it Regards, Ralf
September 4, 201114 yr Hallo Ralf, Work is underway. Harold sent me a wishlist that I'm now integrating to the DB. As I'm writing, about 31 ships are being created. Then I'll have to check them. I'll keep you informed as the work is progressing. Best regards, François "Gunny" Guérin

Thanks. Mark
September 23, 201114 yr Hi Mark, Additions include FREMM frigates for France, Italy, Morocco, Greece. Work is ongoing on creating more sub-versions of some ships (mostly French, but the rest should follow), adding boarding parties to Germany, France... More details to come FG
September 23, 201114 yr Hi Mark, Additions include FREMM frigates for France, Italy, Morocco, Greece. Work is ongoing on creating more sub-versions of some ships (mostly French, but the rest should follow), adding boarding parties to Germany, France... More details to come FG Excellent! I've been playing around for ideas for small- and medium-sized scenarios. One area that I think has a lot of potential is the kind of problems that might be faced by one or two small multinational task forces like Euromarfor, such as... * A threat to regional shipping by a rogue nation * Other threats created by rogue nations * Terrorists with bases, small submarines (e.g., ones they bought from North Korea), etc. * Pirates * Peacekeeping through superior firepower ...and so on. I envision scenarios with about half-a-dozen ships (and/or subs and/or ground installations) and a dozen aircraft per side. I'm hoping to put together scenarios where you really have to think, where you simply cannot lose many assets or you have either lost tactically or the political cost will be more than any victory you might gain. I'm hoping to see more new, small warships like frigates, littoral combat ships, OPVs, etc. And, of course, any large amphibious ships that can handle helicopters (not sure if the Yuzhao, Osumi, Dokdo, Juan Carlos, San Giorgio, Cavour, and Garibaldi classes are included, but I hope all will be considered). Thanks again for your work on this. Mark
September 23, 201114 yr Just curious, are the Sigma-class corvette, the Visby corvette, and the USS Independence (LCS-2)... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigma_class_corvette http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Independence_%28LCS-2%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visby_class_corvette ...going to be added? I looked in the database to see if they were already there, but I did not see them. And, of course, the South African platforms (Valour-class frigates, Warrior-class corvettes, and Heroine-class subs) are on my wish list, too. And the new Iranian frigate, the Moudge class frigate. And FIVE new classes of Mexican OPV/corvette/light frigates: Uribe, Holzinger, Sierra, Durango, and Oaxaca. Yes, I want them all. Mark
September 23, 201114 yr Hi Mark; Yuzhao, Dokdo, Juan Carlos, Cavour and LCS-2 Independance are in the db. All other will be later added. I open from now a "wishlist" topic in "Database Design and Discussion". Thanks for putting all requested platforms in it. Best regards, FG
