"Rebooting HC 2002 Gold" - a few questions

Featured Replies

Hello,

I sent Tony a WestPac scenario I designed three years ago and following my own ideas concerning the problem. I think I finally managed to come close to the solution.

Yesterday I experienced several crashes - outside the WestPac battleset. It was time to deinstall and reinstall. I installed the original HC 2002 Gold and patches up to 2003.16b8 (Jan 17th, 2005). Now all scenarios, including my WestPac scen Duel run just fine. Thus my whole HC Gold installation probably was corrupt.

Next I installed the latest HCDB, but now i get crashes in scenedit again when I try to edit groups/bases - "...probably corrupt rsr - file."

My questions:

1. Is that HCG version I use ok; can the latest HCDB run under it?

2. Or should I just use the HCDB (dated December, 2006) you sent me?

3. I have several other HCG patches stored:

a) hce-2005.b02 as of July, 10th, 2005

B) hce-2005.b06 as of July, 10th, 2005

c) hce-2005.b07 as of September, 24th, 2005

Can/should I use any of those? Or all they all expired and I should stick to my hcg2003.b8?

Hope this summary is easier for to overlook you than the different mails I sent.

Thanks in advance for your help; sorry for having forgotten so much about HC.

Regards,

Ralf

Ralf, can you give step by step instructions on making the SE crash as I have not been able to do so yet with that HCDB? Thanks!
