New Pic's in DB EC2003

Featured Replies

I have a question regarding to 'upgrade of the graphics database EC2003 in my copy of HCE.

I'm inserting images that are "missing" in the directory "HCE \ commondb \ rsr" with the PIC on their ID in the database "pfData2005.mdb" with the procedures " PIC ID = (resxxxx.bmp -154) " , once finished (and exported database) to save the job done for a subsequent installation is sufficient save only the directory "HCE \ commondb \ rsr" and the database file "pfData2005.mdb" ? or are needed also commondb.res and commondb.rsr from the game root directory HCE.

Thank you and I apologize for my bad English.

Correct

1. Platform Editor - Import database (you already did this)

2. Windows Explorer - Add the .bmp graphics to the commondb\rsr directory with the proper names (you already did this)

3. Platform Editor - Edit the PicID field to match the newly added graphics.

4. Platform Editor - Export the database

5. Now the graphics are a part of commondb.rsr.

The game engine and scenario editor use the commondb.rsr file for the graphics, not the commondb\rsr directory. The commondb\rsr directory is only needed for editing the database/photos.

Thanks

With regard to images of old-type scenarios (GIUK-NAVC-MEDC-IOPG etc..) Picture to 16 colors you can change them?

Last question:)

To increase the "resistance" of a platform (eg a ship) should only increase the DP Damage Point?

Armor Ratings section does not have to select the types of armor (None-Light-Medium-Heavy-Special)? see attachments

Thanks again for your time

I don't understand your question. When adding images you can usually use 256 color BMPs. The limiting factor is file size.

Increasing the DP is the most direct route, yes. Heavier armor helps but increasing the DP should be your primary mechanism.
