January 1, 200818 yr Defect Name: Cruise at full speed [2005] Build: HCE 2007.000 Repeatable: Y Operating System: XP DB used: HCDB-070524 Scenario used: Love is My Vengeance [EC2003 IOPG] User-built Long Description: Air group BIA is currently cruising at 90kts. This should be Full Speed. Cruise speed should only be 80kts. Sequence to reproduce: 1. Select Air Group BIA. 2. Order BIA to Full Military power at low altitude. Speed remains at 90kts and Throttle setting now shows Military. 3. Now order BIA to Cruise power. Speed drops to 80kts and Throttle setting changes to Cruise. 4. Now order BIA back to Military power. Speed increases to 90kts but Throttle setting remains at cruise speed. 5. Saved game available Expected behaviour: Throttle should show Military when full speed is applied. Observed behaviour: Throttle shows Cruise consumption when unit at full speed. Cruise_at_full_speed__2005_.zip
January 1, 200818 yr It sure would be nice if there was a ChangeUnitSpeed and a ChangeGroupSpeed function in the game instead of ten zillion different ways of changing speed in ten zillion different places . Wish I knew a programmer.
January 13, 200818 yr Moved to Mantis #2433. Confirmed in 2008.002, but it only seems to happen at VLow and Low, not Medium or High Altitudes.

It will show the proper speed for the altitude and speed selected. If you manually enter a speed outside of the range of the band or aircraft capability, the aircraft will go to an altitude band and speed less than or equal to the manually entered speed.
