The 268th NEW Harpoon scenario of the year! PLUG THE DIKE The success of the Reformed Russian Republic in Norway increased the importance of supply interdiction in the Baltic Sea. The logistical requirements of the R3 army were enormous. Tons of supplies attempted to make transit of the shallow waters between Denmark and Norway. The threat to these small convoys was limited in scope. Because of the success of R3 airfield strikes, the NATO aircraft that remained had adopted a defensive posture, awaiting reinforcements. 120 MORE Harpoon scenarios! A total of 250 releases this year! On January 28, 2007, David Ennis released 117 of his personal scenarios for the Harpoon community to enjoy. At the time, this was the record for the single greatest publication of Harpoon scenarios in a single day. As records are wont to do, this one stood for just 66 days. The 53rd NEW Harpoon scenario of the year! Montreux Convention Since 1936, the Montreux Convention has governed the passage of naval vessels through the Straits of Bosporus and the Dardenelles. Turkish sovereignty over these waters was recognized with all signatories. The Convention limits vessels to 15,000 tons with a maximum combined tonnage of 45,000 tons for countries not sharing a border on the Black Sea. I would like to start a thread dedicated to questions about and/or suggestions for OOBs for small task forces. All periods. All nations. To get the ball rolling, I will start with two questions... 1) Presently, or in the near future, what is a likely OOB for a task force involving a Littoral Combat Ship? I had assumed it would be one LCS and one DDG, the latter providing AA protection, etc. while the LCS served as the platform for SEAL teams and Firescout recon missions. In the absence of an effective government in Somalia, whole fishing families took to piracy and hostage-taking as a means of income. Hi Folks, Finally getting up to speed on this platform. I modified a scenario to game out using different blue assets. It's the VN- RP one in the Spratlys, Westpac Battleset. I added a Burke to come in from the West and launched a Romeo with four Hellfires and LR tanks. The helo tracked and ID'd the Skunks and eventually they turned Red once Side ID was established. I tried launching at that point, but the allocation screen kept saying no illumination for the AGMs. Thinking it was a min range, sensor problem, I moved the helo out a couple of miles, went active on SS, tried again, no dice. Just brainstormed the morning and thought how some of you would think of the US being the aggressor, the Red side? I've been researching the US Navy's return to Subic Bay and the reaction of the Philippines and China yet I haven't heard any reaction from Russia or North Korea. Some groups in the PI are against the return of the 7th Fleet and China seems neutral for the most part. AAR: Baltic Tide By Dave Steinmeyer Baltic Breakout - every NATO commander's nightmare - was about to come true. I immediately turned on the SAM radar of my I-HAWK batteries in order to have some semblance of an air picture as I would not have any AEW support from the E-3 Sentries.
