The scenario setup file is in the Scenario download category. The map scale is 2.3 pixels/nm. NOTE: The old background was a transparency that caused problems with text rendering. View File Iron Bottom Sound Map This is a map for playing Battle of Savo Island or Iron Bottom Sound scenarios. I have not yet added depth zones, since I only intend to use it for surface scenarios, but I may do that in the future. I would appreciate any feedback, since it is my first stab at using SimPlot. File Name: Port Arthur (Lushun) File Submitter: kmart494 File Submitted: 03 Apr 2016 File Category: Maps This is a map of the Port Arthur (Lushun) area of the People's Republic of China. This map is intended to be used with the One China - Port Arthur 2 scenario from Harpoon Naval Review 2000. The graphic is "fine scale" because the scenario is primarily an ASW exercise, and so the map is smaller but has finer detail than most other SimPlot maps. The map scale is 10.9 pixels/nm. View File 2019 Origins System Test These files are recreations of the System Test played at Origins 2019. The game was refereed by Larry Bond and the game turns were run by Kevin Martell (kmart494) on a MacBook using an earlier version of SimPlot2. The old files are not compatible with the current version of SP2, so I recreated them using the latest version. Download and extract the Origins System Test folder to SimPlot's Scenarios folder. You will also need to download the GIUK1 map files from the Maps download section if you do not already have it. The map files can go in the Maps folder or directly into the Origi…

View File Bugout This is the SimPlot setup file for the Harpoon V scenario "Bugout" that is featured in The Naval SITREP issue #60 (April 2021). The installations are on the map, but the ships are not. This way, players may choose where to place them. All the naval ships and missiles that may be used in the scenario are importable, and are located in the Units folder. Civilian ships are an optional rule, but they are not included in the Units folder. They are very simple to create, with the only differences being the type and maximum speed (and size class, but that is not tracked in SimPlot). This scenario is compatible…

View File CaS Plan Alpha This is a test scenario for using SimPlot to play a Command At Sea game. Unzip the scenario folder into your "SimPlot/Scenarios" folder and start a Single Player game. This scenario can be played with multiple players, but someone will have to be the referee. SimPlot uses Nautical Miles for distance measurement. CaS uses Yards, so for a rough conversion divide the Yards by 2000 to get NM. Also, multiply the on-screen NM ranges by 2000 to get Yards. The scenario details are in The Naval SITREP # 52 (April 2017) which is available from The Wargame Vault. ** NOTE ** This version is not compatible with…

File Name: One China - Bogies File Submitter: kmart494 File Submitted: 02 Apr 2016 File Category: Scenarios This is the "Bogies" scenario from the "One China" scenario trio in Harpoon Naval Review 2000. This scenario file shows the starting locations for units with a fixed location, and the general areas for units or formations that would be set up per player desires. The exact composition and formation of the US CVBG, the CVBG airborne assets, the PLAAF attack aircraft formations, and the PLAN submarine locations would have to be determined and put into the scenario before beginning the battle. This scenario is designed to use the Northern Taiwan /…
