Hi,

 

I installed HCE and 3 updates in succession, culminating in HC2009.35 beta on a new net book using Windows XP home. When I click on the desktop icon, I get the MATRIX opening dialog, but when I click on "Play", I get an error. "Printer: EndDoc failed!" . The files have worked on a previous desktop installation. Same thing happens if I execute Winharp32.exe. The scenario editor works. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Smitty,

I'd do your install like this and see if you still have the problem.

 

Install your original HCE (which I assume is 2007.000)

Install 2008.044 patch

Install 2009.042 patch from http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?showtopic=2049

Try the game

Thanks for the reply. Sorry about not responding sooner, but have been away from the computer for the last week.

 

I uninstalled and re-installed, checking at each install along the way. It now works. Must have been cosmic rays or something.
