February 7, 200917 yr I am brand new to scenario and DB design (but not to Harpoon, boxed set in 90, comp version in 95) and have what may be a stupid question. How do you determine the RCS value of a ship? I am currently updating a database to include the fleets of the Americas, I finished most of the work on Cuba this morning. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to share the fleets that go with Tony E's battlesets of the area. Bob Andrepont Louisiana
February 8, 200917 yr Welcome Bob, feel free to try to catch us chatting on IRC, Your question isn't stipid at all. The most common method of determining RCS is to compare your new ship to a similar ship already in the DB and choose a near RCS. The Excel workbook at http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?a...amp;showfile=28 gives a very rough correlation between m^2 RCS values and game RCS values. The H4 paper rules then also give a rough conversion from ship radar sizes into a m^2 RS number.
