FrankFly Dk Posted December 17, 2022 Report Posted December 17, 2022 Hi. I've just resently returned to Harpoon Classics Ultimate Edition. I made a new installation and the latest patch I could find ( v2015.027). I tried to edit an existing scenario, but when I try to save the scenario I keep getting this message "GetMemAnnexA Error: !IS_DISK(0 [0x0]) = 1698128 This message has been logged. The program will now terminate." Is there a solution to my problem ? Regards FrankFly Dk Quote
rainman Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 Were you able to do any editing, or did it crash as soon as you loaded it? Also, was it an original battleset scenario or a user created one? Quote
FrankFly Dk Posted December 19, 2022 Author Report Posted December 19, 2022 It was both one of the original battleset scenarios and one I created. The message I mentioned came when I saved the scenarios. The editor created a file by the name I gave the scenario that is 1kb. When I try to do more editing, the editor crashes and the same happens if I try to load the saved scenario in the game. Quote
TonyE Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 Thanks guys, that error is unexpected. Do you get the error when you open the BattleSet Scenario in the Scenario Editor (SE) and save it right away without any changes? If you do, which BattleSet and Scenario so that I can attempt to reproduce here? GetMemAnnex means the game is accessing information in the database of platforms. It is highly likely that particular issue is fixed in the latest beta builds but I don't want to blindly point you there without isolating the problem a little more. Quote
FrankFly Dk Posted December 19, 2022 Author Report Posted December 19, 2022 Hi Tony. When I load a scenario into the editor and save it without doing any editing, I get the same message and it happens in all of the battle sets. Quote
TonyE Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 Got it, which scenario? Original GIUK 1.0 for example is a reference I can use to open a specific scenario and attempt to re-save. Quote
FrankFly Dk Posted December 19, 2022 Author Report Posted December 19, 2022 It is all of the scenarios in all of the battle sets. Quote
TonyE Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 Thank you, that is unique. I see I don't have a current beta installer uploaded, I'll get to that later today and post back here when it is available. Do you happen to use Discord? This might be a situation to share your screen in real-time to troubleshoot if the beta build doesn't do the trick. Quote
FrankFly Dk Posted December 19, 2022 Author Report Posted December 19, 2022 Yes I'm using Discord Quote
TonyE Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 Couldn't help myself, the latest beta is at and is very stable. 2022.027 was sent to Matrix for to become the next official patch, they are working at their second attempt on the installer. Quote
TonyE Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 This is what my se.log file looks like upon opening the original GIUK scenario 3.0 and saving it. There are no log messages for the saving action at this time, only for the loading. se.log Quote
FrankFly Dk Posted December 19, 2022 Author Report Posted December 19, 2022 I've just downloaded and installed this patch : 2022.028 and it works. Now I can save the edited scenarios. 1 Quote
TonyE Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 Excellent, happy Harpooning and we look forward to seeing some of your creations shared on HarpGamer someday. Discord channel Quote
FrankFly Dk Posted December 19, 2022 Author Report Posted December 19, 2022 When I play the game with the 2022.028 patch, there is a note in the top right corner that states that the game expires jan 1st 2026. When I click on the discord, I get my normal channels but not the harp gamer channel. Quote
TonyE Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 At HarpGamer we do the programming for the game and offer support & guidance but Matrix Games holds the publishing rights. As such, we can't deliver non-expiring builds of the game. That said, I extend the expiration now and again. We've been at this since 2005 and have no intention of shutting down the site and operations. Also, as I hinted, Matrix has been sent the 2022.027 files which they are packaging as an official release. I just got word this morning that it won't be published in December but as a result is a high priority for their January production schedule. Bummer about the Discord link, I assume it is my fault and https://discord.gg/ZmrFAZXbyw will work better? Quote
