June 20, 200817 yr Hey everyone, i just wanted to say i am glad to see such an awesome game as harpoon has a good community backing it up and keeping things fresh for everyone! This is my first forum post and i have been hanging out at CV32's irc room for a few weeks now. One of the first computer games i remember buying was harpoon 2 when it came on 6 or 7 floppies, and it had that huge manual that i almost read more than my schoolbooks. Now comes HCE which i quickly found out is more a labor of love by gamers than it is a huge commercial enterprise, and thats a good thing. Im getting familiar with the easy as heck (compared to other games) scenario editor, as i am in the process of creating some scenarios along the lines of red storm rising. It has prob been done before, but im going to do it again and im putting in a LOT of research as to what units could have been actually there in the year im setting this scenario in. im glad im here and all i can say is lets keep things alive.....im anxious to get involved

Its been nice to chat with you on IRC. Now comes HCE which i quickly found out is more a labor of love by gamers than it is a huge commercial enterprise, and thats a good thing. Absolutely. New scenarios are ALWAYS welcome. Lotsa folks here will help you test em too. im glad im here and all i can say is lets keep things alive.....im anxious to get involved Have you given any thought to helping out with beta testing?
June 20, 200817 yr Jason, Let me echo everything CV32 just said. And speaking as one of the Beta testers, we can always use new people with fresh insights to help with testing. It's hard to explain the satisfaction you get when you fire up the game and know that in some small way your input helped make it what it is. Welcome aboard, Buddha
