June 17, 200817 yr I checked with CV32 about the appropriateness of posting this on these boards, and he said to go ahead. Hi folks. I've had my Harpoon stuff for a long time. I've had a blast meeting Larry Bond, and many others over the years at conventions. But the collection has sat on the shelf for 10 years, so it's time for it to find a better home. Preferably one where the new owners will take it out and show it some light (even submarines have to surface once in a while). My entire collection of rules is up on eBay now. Here's a list of items that you can check out if you're so inclined. I'm sorry to say I found THIS on-line community so late. The lot of "16 SITREPS, Issues 0-14,16" finish in half an hour, and most GDW booklets finish by midnight, with a few left to go by dawn. (I fell asleep a week ago posting them). Even worse news is that my Harpoon 2 rules, and "Resolution 502" (the Falklands War for H2) went a few weeks ago. Some of you might have been looking, and I wish I could have given you a heads up. BUT! The miniatures still have a few days. In fact, most of the collection of metal isn't even up yet, as more will be going up Wednesday evening. No matter what you do, check out this one auction: Sinking Ship, it's what all of us Harpoon player's are striving to inflict on our opponents, and avoid ourselves. You'll get a good smile. Thanks for reading, Gerry
July 12, 200817 yr Author It's been a good couple of weeks. I've got quite a few 1/2400 miniatures ending this Sunday, July 13. The LAST of my minis goes up the same day, ending July 20th. Come check it out at this list of auctions. Gerry
July 12, 200817 yr Thanks for letting us know about these Gerry. I know with more warning I would have been interested in the Sitreps. As yet I don't have a miniature cast fleet or funding to acquire one so that's out of the question too
July 19, 200817 yr Author Thanks for letting us know about these Gerry. I know with more warning I would have been interested in the Sitreps. As yet I don't have a miniature cast fleet or funding to acquire one so that's out of the question too It's a shame I hadn't heard about this place either. I could have let folks know when things will be starting before, instead of when things have ended, after. That all said, the last of my collection is up NOW, finishing tomorrow night at midnight or so. There's Kashins, Krivaks, Kyndas, a Kresta, Moskva, Tarawa, New Jersey (tomahawk modernized, box launchers visible, even at 1/2400), Nimitz, General John Pope (WWII transport for my convoys), Virginia, Belknaps, VLS AEGIS (Bunker Hills, Arleigh Burkes), more Burkes, SPruances (Origninal NOT VLS) , oh right: Adams, Garcia, Knox; and some Star Frontiers spaceships at altitude "Very High :-)" . You can find them up here on eBay.ca . S&H is via Canada Post, but I do my best to keep the costs to a minimum, just charging for the weight of the pack. It's been a blast. I've ALWAYS loved the "look and feel" of Harpoon. It just seemed "Real". But no time to play. ALthough my son was asking "why didn't we dad?" (But I'm keeping Captain's Ed to teach him. Who knows, maybe I'll be back in a decade with 5.0 :-) Thanks all for looking and checking it out. Hopefully some of you found items you wanted for YOUR collections. Gerry ps. I'll be moving over to the computer Harpoon 3 boards soon. Harp 1 was my FAVOURITE PC game of all time. I figure if I can get harp3, I might just keep my hand in.... ghs2

I figure if I can get harp3, I might just keep my hand in.... ghs2 I'm not going to try and discourage your acquisition of Harpoon 3 but you could grab a copy of Harpoon Classic too (HCE these days) and re-live your glory days of Harpoon 1.
