Gentlemen:

I ahve a couple more questions I hope you guys can answer without going to a lot of trouble.

1. As we need to deal with at least some sonobouy deployments manually, can anyone recommend optimal drop patterns, or even better, some place to learn more about this? I'm just tossing them out the hole in the side...

2. I understand what ESM is. What I don't understand is the game dynamic used to incorporate ESM bombers into the equation. If I send in wild weasels attached to a bombing group, what happens in the internals of the game? Roughly or explicitly -- either is good.

3. Is there some user group that keeps track of recent developments in naval/air tech, for possible later incorporation into the game? For instance, there have been recent changes to the Mk. 45 on Arleigh Burkes &c. If so, do they need any assistance? How can I help?

Thanks in advance all...

Take a gander at http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/topic/2368-airborn-asw-search-plan/

In the game most NATO aircraft have an integral ESM capability so adding Wild Weasels won't change anything sensor-wise. You would use the Wild Weasels to carry anti-radiation weapons to take out radars. If you are playing with older Soviet platforms then wild weasel aircraft may well be the only birds with ESM in your air group.

One might look in the "Database Design & Discussion" set of forums, http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/forum/6-database-design-discussion/You can contact CV32 to see if there is any way to help him.
