hi tony,brad,ect.,i havent played gold for quite,so ive been out of the harpoon loop for awhile.ive tried updating my hcdb with 070414(i noticed that it says its compatable with 2003.16b)i have 2003.10. is this a problems>if so can i update to 2003.16b with a patch?when i try running any scenario in the game it runs fine although it still says i have version 2003.10,the problem starts with the scenario editor.if i try to edit an exsiting scenario(any of the ec2003 scenarios) i get this error Annex SHIFT(21268 [0x5314])=5,annex=14 this message has been logged.although im really good with the hardware aspect of computers sometimes the software stuff gets the best of me.so-please treat me like the noob that i am!! i.e. youll have to draw me pictures haha. thanks for any help i can get.. thanks gary moore

1. We'll get you updated to 2003.15. We can't give you 2003.16b3 since it is a beta and AGSI/Matrix don't look kindly upon people distributing old betas.

 

2. I'll see if I can coax a recent HCDB into 2003.15 format.

 

At that point things will probably run pretty well and we'll help you get it working. So look for a couple more posts this weekend.

Also, is it relatively simple to add a downloaded scenario? If you could point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Turns out I already had HCDB-070524 on hand but not uploaded to HarpGamer, find it at http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?a...mp;showfile=226

 

You download the zip file and unzip it on top of your HC Gold install, ask questions if needed.

 

Now to see about getting you 2003.15. The file will probably work with 2003.10, I'd be interested in hearing how it works for you.

I may have to take it down, I forget if we're allowed to post the file but I'll be asking Don Gilman in an e-mail in a few minutes.

 

So install the update, the unzip the HCDB from the prior post over the top of it all.

Yep, I seem to have HCDB-070524 working passably with 2003.15. It is available at http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?a...mp;showfile=226 . Download that file and unzip into your HC Gold directory (with the game closed at the time). Similarly with downloaded scenarios, unzip them to your HC Gold directory. Then when you load the game and choose the correct battleset, you can use the 'User Scenario' button to find that scenario you downloaded and unzipped.

Got word back from AGSI, Matrix doesn't appreciate release patches being made available either so I've removed the 2003.10 to 2003.15 patch .

I have noticed that the KA-6 Tanker and the KC-135 Stratotanker are missing from the Aircraft list in the ScenarioEditor. I recall that these tankers were in the Harpoon Classic 97. The KC-135 would be available for any base which can accept very large aircraft, and the KA-6 should be able to land on a CV. Any idea how I can get these aircraft back or fix this issue in HC 2002 Gold Edition?

First make sure you are in an EC2003 battleset. Then look for the tankers under type Tran (there is a bug in HCE with the Tanker plane type), so KA-6D is...
