August 6, 201213 yr Talk is really chaep (especially when it comes to Indian naval procurment programs). That's a lt of rupees. I'll believe it when I see it. If they are having trouble with their indig. DDG and FF programs, they won't be able to crank-out a CV, especially a 65,000-ton CV. If it is built, it will likely be built in a Russia yard (once one becomes available), with a Russian labor force that works on a Russian time clock (which is really sllooowwww and takes a loonnngggg time to do anything). With all of that taken into account, 2025 is a VERY audacious estimate. I would prognosticate 2040 - a more realistic long-term number.

If they were smart, they would work out a deal with the Brits to buy the QE design plans. Related to this, IAC-1 is now pushed back to 2017. The original gear boxes are delayed, rumor has it they tried to scale up a gear box from the P17 class to fit.
