I like that the HUD includes a number of experimental platforms (including a couple of light carriers), but some of them have almost no explanation. Who would have supposedly built them? Why? If they were actually planned and canceled, could that be included?

 

In fact, there are quite a few entries where some descriptive text should be added or the existing text should be altered or corrected.

 

This is, of course, just a matter of going into the database the next time it is edited and changing some of the descriptive text, but I hope it will get done someday.

 

Speaking of that...any news on when the next release (b 11?) will be?

Mark, I'll try to think about adding text, but some of the "what if" platforms were created by me (I think about the Montcalm cruiser or the upcoming Dassault Rafale Batch 4), but other were created by Darren or Harold. I have no idea about any release date, since I have real-life events which request all my attention. Maybe next Tuesday, should be a day free, it will depend on timeI can dedicate to Harpoon.

Okay, sounds good. Anything that can be added would be great. Maybe even just things like "Fictional light carrier created by so-and-so. It is assumed the primary user would be Germany, but other users might include any large or medium-sized Navy like Turkey or Brazil, with launch dates after 2010." That sort of thing. But it's not critical.

 

As for the next release date, whenever you can do it is fine. I'm looking forward to it, of course, and I hope lots of new platforms will show up, but I know all about real world concerns!

Not yet, unexpected events kept me outside of Harpoon these days. Work plans are seriously delayed, I have no idea when I'll be able to release next version.
