November 12, 201114 yr I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not, but I cannot get the ASROC on my Knox frigates to fire. I tried changing the loadouts, etc. The game sometimes selects the ASROC as the default weapon of choice for an attack, but then never launches the weapon itself...and I know because when I check the magazine later on, it shows the weapons as still being there, even though (if I selected other weapons, too) other weapons have fired without any problem. Any ideas? Mark
November 13, 201114 yr What kind of target is intended? ASROC is for subs, andit won't fire unless the sub is detected. Also check that rules of engagement are set to "weapons free". I've just checked the parameters in the DB, it's seemingly not DB issue

I haven't checked if it was set to "weapons free," though...maybe that's just a bug or something that it has to be set that way for ASROC to fire? (about five minutes later) Just checked...setting it on Weapons Free made no difference. Weird! Any other ideas? Thanks. Mark
November 13, 201114 yr Yes, I have another idea. I've checked the flags assigned tp ASROC weapons. One is particularly interesting, it's called "limited to mount arc". This flag limits the orientation of the weapon to the one of the mount. To make it clear, if an ASROC mount has a Port side arc; and its target is on the Starboard side, mount won't fire. Maybe it's the reason of your issue. FG

Oh well, until I or someone else can figure it out, I'll just have to work around the problem. It's a shame...I was looking forward to firing some NDBs at Russian subs.
