GE - Strange window sizing

Featured Replies

Hi,

I installed HCCE some time ago on a laptop, but didn't use it. I recently tried and it works OK except for sizing on some of the windows which I have no control over the sizing. For example pressing the F6 key (launch AC) and choose "attack" or "ferry" a window opens giving a list of target bases/groups. The left half of the window giving the list is OK but the right half of the window is cut off. Also the staff asst. window is truncated on the right. The build is 2009.036. It is running on Windows XP with all the latest updates at 1680x1050. I have tried it with several battlesets and at different screen resolutions.

I must be missing something... any suggestions?

Thanks,

Smitty

Start with the game closed and run http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?a...mp;showfile=228 to reset window positions (pretty much for a 640x480 screen).

Resize your main windows from there. If that doesn't suffice the next step is to change the window font size to 96dpi (i.e. not large fonts). That means smaller text but text that fits.

Thanks Tony. The font size fixed it.
