November 28, 200619 yr Get it at: Harpgamer HC Scenarios EC2003 NACV TGPCIVIL 2nd War Between the States EC2003 Style AN EC2003 NACV HARPOON SCENARIO Anthony Eischens sysop@tgp.net MISSION BRIEFING The Northern United States finally called for an end to the Southern Drawl. This announcement was followed shortly by an embargo of pop flowing North from the South. As a matter of common understanding war broke out immediately. Hence the Second War Between the States began. Technicalities Affecting GamePlay: This scenario was designed to be played from either side and as such creating a credible AI threat is very difficult. Due to the author's attitude of ASW being only a sidebar to a good air battle you may not face determined subsurface attack. They are out there though! Each side begins with a solid base set of aircraft, ships, and subs. Beyond that is the possibility of a rather large assortment of additional units and positioning so the scenario should have moderate replay ability. Total victory is achieved by floating your CV within roughly 100 miles east of the OPFOR naval type installation (aka the anchor) and destroying OPFOR's CV(N). OPFOR bases need not be destroyed for total victory. Minimum victory is achieved through destroying all three of OPFOR's bases. Good luck, Commander. Clear the seas of your tasteless US pop or Coke drinkers.
December 1, 200619 yr Just tried this scenario from both sides and had a heckuva good time. Still very challenging. As the Red Side, I lost a whole swack of planes and even had my carrier hit by torpedoes before finally hammering down the Usurpers. Thanks a bunch for re-making this old classic.
