Most of what I learned about the US Navy came from my father. He served in the US Navy during WW2 and Korea. I briefly served in the US Navy, the CPO in boot could not for some reason correctly pronounce my last name, I joined the Navy in 1986, hence cruiser 86.

When I was in high school I read Tom Clancy's Red Storm Rising. At some point I found out the battles from the book were played out with this game called HARPOON. Ever since I have been interested and playing as much as I can.

The only other interest is in the Russian Front/ Great Patriotic War of WW2. Because of my families Germanic heritage. Also I have come across information that indicates I had relatives in the German Army and serving on that front.
