I'm playing the HCE scenario #10 Return of the 18th. I haven't played at all in several months and haven't played steadily in quite awhile.

I don't remember firing missiles and missing so much, along with not remembering the soviets firing missiles and hitting so much. I have fired 68 missiles and only shot down 13 planes while they have fired 11 missiles and shot down 10 planes. This is a little over 5 missiles per plane on my end and a bit over 1 missile per plane on their end. I can't believe the soviets planes and missiles are so much better then the allies/nato planes and missiles.

My missiles were a combo of Sky Flash, AIM-9M Sidewinders, AIM-7M Sparrows, and AIM-9R Sidewinders fired at MIG-29 Fulcrums, and SU-27 Floggers. Their missiles were AA-10 Alamo B's, AA-11 Archers, and AA-10 Alamo A's fired at Tornado F.3's, and F-15C Eagles.

Based on the ingame db, it would seem that all the planes are relatively similar with the Tornado probably the worst of the four?

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a known bug in missile accuracy?

That particular scenario appears in the HDSIII NACV battleset and uses the built in, non-editable, legacy database. Some folks will report that performance on the Soviet side is miserably poor, and some others will report as you do. In the end, though, it comes down to a random die roll (computerised though it is) and there is no known bug in missile accuracy.

If it helps any, air-to-air missile PK in that legacy database was pretty poor (often 40% for many of the SARH guided missiles you mention) and defensive ATA was equally bad. The Tornado F.3, in particular, does seem to eat more than its fair share of missiles.
