March 29, 200620 yr Another topic in this vein comes to mind. Pollution, garbage and toxic waste. In recent years, there have been several news stories about so-called "toxic ships", often either barges filled to the brim with waste or decommissioned warships containing toxic materials (eg. the old French carrier Clemenceau). Also, some nations really struggle with trying to deal with their garbage problems. Singapore and Hong Kong come to mind.
