I am new to HPCE, and i would like to know how to instal the new database

Welcome, welcome.

 

To use the new database (DB), simply unzip the download file to your HCE main directory.

 

It will overwrite your 'commondb.res' file. From this point the game engine (GE) will recognize the new DB and you can play the game using the new DB.

 

If you want to look at or edit the new DB in the Platform Editor (PE), you'll need to 'Import' using the PE.

 

I'll add these steps to the FAQ and/or DB file download section eventually. ;)

  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
