You are the Commander, Training Squadron of Blue Force.

TS departed the last port of the ocean training cruise, and go to home port.

But, Blue and Red nation skirmished accidentally in the Alfa islands yesterday.

The prospective course of TS is now in a tense atmosphere, so the joint staff office detached one P-3C MPA to your force.

 

2350 in local time. P-3C contacted a very small surface target in the front of your force. It's like a submarine's snorkel.

Here is the choke point, so that contact must be identify and observed.

But P-3C had to depart here in 20 minutes because of fuel.

 

You command your ships, a helicopter, and MPA, keep contact and identify it.

You CAN'T do preemptive strike, definitely.

2350, afloats go to contacted position in high speed. P-3C decrease speed and altitude to detect with MAD.

Sub recognize P-3C with ESM, so sease snorkel and dive to Int 1

2353, DD-130 Matsuyuki departs from a squadron to launch a helicopter. P-3C fails MAD detecting because it's area is very narrow.

Sub turns to confuse.

2356, P-3C conduct sonobuoy operation.

2359, First passive contact, only 1 buoy. Release DIFAR and DICASS.

0002, DICASS contact, but fail identification.

0005, Detect a sub by several buoys. Identify it's Chinese Yuan class submarine.

The sub can only be silently.
