LCS2_4.jpgDavid Axe has done an excellent job retelling the history of the Littoral Combat Ship. The final program that the Navy has developed today has been around since 2003 - roughly eight years, although David Axe does go back further to tell some of the back story that began with DD-21.

 

It's a really good article, and I think everyone should read it.
