Ok, EC 2003 Battle for Atlantic ocean, scenario ''Fingers of death'' working fine now. I probably didn't install Falkland battleset the right way, so I'll try again.

From title bar: Harpoon, Commanders edition-build 2009.050 Scenario is: ''Approach to total exclusion zone'' I checked EC 2003 Battle for Atlantic ocean, scenario ''Fingers of death'', also very slow. Maybe it's OS thing, I have Windows 7 now, before I had Windows Vista which worked fine. Laptop should be fast enough to run the game without problem.

This is a corrupt registry problem that has occurred before with earlier versions of Harpoon going back to Harpoon 2002. To fix: 1) From the Start button, select Run and type the word regedit. 2) Find the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder and expand it through Software/Matrix Games/HCE/Options. 3) Delete the Options folder. 4) Run Harpoon again, which will reset all those erased pointers with fresh ones, and all should be well. Note: There is also a Matrix Games folder within the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder. Do not tamper with this folder. Among other things, it contains the Serial Number pointer, and erasing will cause the program to crash with an invalid serial number message. You then need to uninstall/reinstall. I' ve done that and it's fine now. But now in Battleset ''Falkland'' by wmarsh time compresion doesn't work or it's very slow. Also game becomes very unresponsive. How to cure that? I checke'd, other ''integral battlesets'' doesn't seem to be afected with that.

Sounds like your platform display is functional, but just not showing images/pictures for every ship, aircraft, etc? If so, this is because we just don't have images available for every platform, due to intellectual property issues. Yes it is working fine, but without pics for most of the platform. Thx and as I said it's not a problem, just cosmetics.

Hi all, Sorry to bring this old thread to a light of a day, I didn't won't to open new one, I have couple of more questions not strictly connected to thread name but still... I'll use for example nice historic scenario called Battle of Latakia, everything works except platform display, I just cannot connect dots, I tried lots of stuff, trying various combination of picturefiles and databases with no success. Same thing with Israeli-Iran 2010 scenario. I have HUCE if it means something. Playing without picture of weapon platform is not crucial but why not have it when it's possible? Maybe you should just put some tutorial on you tube for as ahm slower ahm members. So there you go, any help is welcomed.

Thx, guys everything is working now and those pesky Harriers are real pain in the ... Just one thing: it seems that sound doesn't work, I can only hear song when victory condition are achieved. I ticked all the boxes in sound options but it doesn't work, but when I play old classic battlesets/scenarios everything is fine. Not a biggie but if someone knows what do I would appreciate. Hi guys, I am old fan of this game I played it when it used be on 12 floppy discs (must be early or mid 90') so when I saw this new HUE I bought it in blink of eye. In this new edition I have seen some old classic scenarios/battlesets but also some new. Please can you explain me how to install user made scenarios like lets say Falkland (so I can sink Invincible, and die happy ).Is there some kind of sticky or topic where is everything explained step by step. Also is there possibility when installing user scenario something to go wrong with official HUE, I would definitely like to avoid that. I checked FAQ so now I know a little bit more about battlesets, files names and so on... You can expect similar topic soon on ANW sub-forum, but for now I'll stick to Harpoon after all it is my ''first love''. Thx, and greetings from Croatia
