Requests/Issues

Request platform additions and changes here

Guidelines for Requests/Issues

Please include the following information with your request:
1. Version of ANW you are using, ex. 3.10.1
2. Version of HUD4 you are currently using, ex. 1.6.5
3. IF you are reporting an issue, provide a saved game and instructions to reproduce the issue if possible.
4. If you are request a new platform, provide information and links you think would be useful. Bonus points for giving a teaser on how you will use the platform.
5. One request or issue per thread. So ask for the DD-963 as of 1982, not the entire French Navy. For the French Navy you would post a number of requests for individual classes.
6. Periodically, finished items (icon12.gif, icon11.gif, and some icon9.gif) will be moved to the archives

When you make a new request, please set the topic icon to icon13.gif
The maintainer will set it to icon9.gif when the request/issue has been fulfilled/addressed
If you see icon8.gif the request is refused
Any player who has tested the change can post to that effect and request that the icon be set to icon11.gif
Ideally the reporter will also test and then set the icon to icon12.gif

Naming conventions:
Civilian ships have the "CIV" tag in front of the name.
Crime/offense-related units have the "CRIM" tag.
Soviet/Russian ships name is preceded by the Project number.
PRC ships have their name preceded by Type number.
NATO units are preceded by the Pennant number.
US units have the US designation number.
Before requesting a platform, players are advised to track it in the list, under the lead unit's name or class' name.

Minor database issue...the text for the HMAS 215 Stalwart is a bit off. First, the ship is listed as the A 215 A 215 HMAS Stalwart, which looks a bit odd...one of the two "A 215"s should be taken out. Also, the ship was not a cargo vessel. Replacement text might be... "Australian support and command vessel that served as the flagship of the RAN during the 1980s."

Damen Stan 4207 patrol vessel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damen_Stan_4207_patrol_vessel This is actually a cluster of closely related classes of patrol vessel, which is being used or will be used by about a dozen different countries. "The Damen Stan Patrol 4100, Damen Stan Patrol 4207 and Damen Stan Patrol 4708 are three related designs from the Damen Group, a Dutch shipbuilding firm. The Stan 4207 design are 42.8 metres (140 ft) patrol vessels....and can travel at 22 knots. They are designed to carry a complement of approximately a dozen. The Stan 4708 are 46.8 metres (154 ft) long, 8.11 metres (26.6 ft) wide, have a maximum speed of 23.8 knots, and carry a cre…

The text provided for the ADS 1 Cape Cod is actually the text for the French A 769 Dupuy de Lome. Since the ADS 1 is a fictional platform, I'm not sure WHAT she is supposed to be or what the descriptive text should be. It has room for 12 aircraft, up to V/STOL aircraft, but no magazines for supporting them by providing weapons. (This can be solved, by the way, by giving the aircraft a loadout when it is added using the Edit/Units/Edit Aircraft command.) Is she a light carrier or a support ship? The only thing I can be sure of is that she is NOT a French spy ship.

Hawker Siddeley HS 748 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawker_Siddeley_HS_748 "The Hawker Siddeley HS 748 is a medium-sized turboprop airliner originally designed by the British firm Avro in the late 1950s as a replacement for the now-aged DC-3s then in widespread service as feederliners. Avro concentrated on performance, notably for STOL operations, and found a dedicated market. 380 aircraft were built by Hawker Siddeley. A larger development, the BAe ATP, attempted to compete with the de Havilland Canada Dash 8 but saw a limited production run." --Wikipedia Another medium transport used by many different air forces and airlines. Point class sealift ship https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_class_sealift_ship "The Point class is a class of six roll-on/roll-off sealift ships procured under a Private Finance Initiative and available for use as naval auxiliaries to the British armed forces. They were the result of the Strategic Defence Review and are designed for the strategic transport of military cargoes and vehicles in times of need. The UK Ministry of Defence has purchased a 22-year charter from Foreland Shipping (previously named "AWSR Shipping"), who own, operate and crew the ships, utilising them as merchantmen when they are not required for military service. Recommended change to database text... "One of the many small patrol boat classes in service around the world, the Vosper 103-Foot Type has been exported to a number of countries, including Malaysia, Panama, and Qatar." This is simply a text change to increase the accuracy of the database. In fact, Malaysia (not Qatar) is the major user of this class, with over a dozen boats in service, although they're nearly 50 years old! A bit slow, but probably pretty good for keeping an eye on the neighbors or going after pirates or smugglers who do not have speed boats. As far as I know, there are no differences in the versions sold to various countries, although I un…

It seats up to nine passengers in a pressurized cabin, and may be flown by one or two pilots. The design uses a small forward wing and a main wing combination that places the wing spars outside of the passenger cabin area. The first was to be built in Spain and fitted out in St Petersburg, leaving open the option of Indonesian involvement in building the subsequent ships.[5] This agreement appears to have lapsed; in 2011 Indonesia signed a deal for two …
