Requests/Issues

Request platform additions and changes here

Guidelines for Requests/Issues

Please include the following information with your request:
1. Version of ANW you are using, ex. 3.10.1
2. Version of HUD4 you are currently using, ex. 1.6.5
3. IF you are reporting an issue, provide a saved game and instructions to reproduce the issue if possible.
4. If you are request a new platform, provide information and links you think would be useful. Bonus points for giving a teaser on how you will use the platform.
5. One request or issue per thread. So ask for the DD-963 as of 1982, not the entire French Navy. For the French Navy you would post a number of requests for individual classes.
6. Periodically, finished items (icon12.gif, icon11.gif, and some icon9.gif) will be moved to the archives

When you make a new request, please set the topic icon to icon13.gif
The maintainer will set it to icon9.gif when the request/issue has been fulfilled/addressed
If you see icon8.gif the request is refused
Any player who has tested the change can post to that effect and request that the icon be set to icon11.gif
Ideally the reporter will also test and then set the icon to icon12.gif

Naming conventions:
Civilian ships have the "CIV" tag in front of the name.
Crime/offense-related units have the "CRIM" tag.
Soviet/Russian ships name is preceded by the Project number.
PRC ships have their name preceded by Type number.
NATO units are preceded by the Pennant number.
US units have the US designation number.
Before requesting a platform, players are advised to track it in the list, under the lead unit's name or class' name.

Many people don't think of Iceland as having a military, but they have a very capable coast guard. Anyone with the stones to take on the British Navy should have their own entry in the Harpoon database! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iceland_Military http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_Coast_Guard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cod_Wars 1. The country should be added to the country menus in the scenario editor 2. Country-appropriate platforms in the database should be linked to that country, with dates of service, etc. 3. As time allows, country-specific platforms or country-specific variations on existing platforms should be added to the database. …

Ilyushin Il-14 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilyushin_Il-14 Another widespread aircraft (more than 3,000 built) that might be included in the database. Not a critical need--again, I'm just posting things as I find them so I don't forget--but an interesting plane and perhaps useful for some scenarios. I don't know if was designed with paratroopers in mind or if it was simply a transport. ANW HUD 4 v1.1b9

The Il-18's successor was the long range Il-62 jet airliner." --Wikipedia One variant was the Il-20M Coot-A, "ELINT electronic, radar reconnaissance version. Also known …

"The Ilyushin Il-62 (NATO reporting name Classic) is a Soviet long-range jet airliner conceived in 1960 by Ilyushin. As successor to the popular turbo-prop Il-18 and with capacity for almost 200 passengers, the Il-62 was the largest jet airliner when it first flew in 1963. It entered Aeroflot service on 15 September 1967 with an inaugural passenger flight from Moscow to Montreal....Over 30 nations operated the Il-62 with more than 80 being…

  8. Indian Project Project 15B (upgraded Project 15A) Quoted from Wikipedia... Project 15B (upgraded Project 15A) In January 2011, the Cabinet Committee for Security gave approval for four more destroyers under Project 15B. Even though Type 15B retains the hull form of Kolkata class destroyers, there will be changes in the superstructure that will improve stealth and include better sound and infrared suppression systems. Project 15B differs from Project 15A because of the flush deck. The flush deck improves stealth as it is smoother with less angles and corners. The displacement of each Project 15B will be approximately 7,000 tonnes. As with most Indian design, th…
