Lockheed Martin Aeronautics won a $97.5 million contract modification, which adds scope to procure Block 4 special tooling and test equipment in support of non-US Department of Defense (DOD) participants and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer’s F-35 Lightning II delivery schedules. Work will take place in Texas, California, Orgeon, Tennesse, Israel, Michigan, Washington, Netherlands, Massachusetts and the UK. Expected completion is in December 2024.

Lockheed Martin won a $10.5 million deal for logistics support labor for and a $10.5 million deal for product assurance basic labor for the PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 Missile Support Center post-production effort. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order. Estimated completion date is May 25, 2023.

Middle East & Africa

The US State Department approved a potential Foreign Military Sale to Egypt for 23 CH-47F helicopters. The package is worth up to $2.6 billion and Egypt will be requesting to buy 56 T-55-GA-714A engines to power the helicopters. If the sales go ahead, seven US Government and six contractors will be assigned to Egypt to facilitate the delivery of the helicopters.

Europe

The United States has approved the sale of 138 Raytheon AIM-9X Block II/ II+ Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missiles to the Netherlands, announcing a potential $117 million sale on May 26. The US Department of State approval covers the Foreign Military Sale of 95 Block II and 43 Block II+ missiles, as well as one Block II+ tactical guidance unit, training missiles, related equipment, and support.

Asia-Pacific

Northrop Grumman Systems won a $15.4 million deal, which provides product supportability analyses for the Navy and the government of Australia’s MQ-4C Triton aircraft operational level maintenance, task analysis and provisioning data in support of integrated functional capability four configured systems. Work will take place in California. Estimated completion will be in November 2024.

The US State Department has approved the sale of mobile rocket launchers to Australia worth $385 million, as the country seeks to boost its military presence in the Indo-Pacific region. Australia requested to buy 20 HIMARS and other equipment, the Pentagon said. The principal contractors will be Lockheed Martin, L3Harris Corp and Chelton Inc, it said.
